Firefox userchrome (.js and .css) location (WINDOWS VISTA / XP)

DIRECT NAVIGATION:

VISTA:
C:\Users\<Windows login/user name>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile folder>.

XP / 2000:
C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows login/user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile folder>

*Note: AppData folder is a hidden folder – make sure hidden folders/files are shown.

VISTA:

  1. Open “Start” menu
  2. Type: %APPDATA% in “Start Search” box.
  3. Select the “Roaming” item that appears on the menu.
  4. In the Windows Explorer window that opens, choose Mozilla → Firefox → Profiles. Each folder in this folder is a profile on your computer.

XP/2000:

  1. Choose Start → Run
  2. Type in %APPDATA%
  3. Press OK. A Windows Explorer window will appear.
  4. In the Windows Explorer window, choose Mozilla → Firefox → Profiles. Each folder in this folder is a profile on your computer

NOTE: The AppData folder is a hidden folder; to show hidden folders:

In Windows Explorer: Organize → Folder and Search Options → Folder Options → View (tab) → Show hidden files and folders.

or

In xplorer2: Tools → Options → In “General” tab, make sure the “Show hidden files folders” box is checked. (If it isn’t, check it, save and close.)
